Brother or sister Cord blood stem cells transplantation
The high effectiveness of the treatment of autism and autism spectrum diseases by the patient’s own stem cells has been proven in many cases. To undergo such therapy, the child must be older than 6-7 years.
Today, parents of children who have not reached this age and have not retained umbilical cord blood have the opportunity to start treatment earlier with the cord blood of siblingns (sister or brother), provided that HLA (Human leucocyte antigens) match at least 50%.
Cord blood of siblings can be transplanted HLA matching:
1. When recipient and donor HLA matching (A, B, DRb1) is full, cord blood will be injected intrathecal and intravenously.
2. When recipient and donor HLAs matching (A, B, DRb1) is only 50%, cord blood will be injected intravenously.
3. When recipient and donor HLAs (A, B, DRb1) are fully mismatch, we will not accept patients.
When patients have no cord blood, we accept them for autologous bone marrow intrathecal transplantation.
As a result, the procedure minimizes the demonstration of aggression of the child, improves communication skills to others, speech and behavior, intelligence. The child becomes more balanced, socially active, learns knowledge more easily, improves skills.
The course of treatment:
1 day. Examination of the patient’s state of health using a coagulogram, general blood test, serological screening for viruses, immunophenotyping of lymphocytes, testing of kidney and liver functions.
2 day. Introducing the derived stem cells from the cord blood of a sibling intravenously and/or intrathecally.
Features of the procedure
A test tube with frozen donor cord blood is placed in a water bath, the temperature of which is 37C. After the blood has melted, it is purified to separate the stem cells. As a result, cells are suspended in 1 ml of saline and injected into the patient’s body intravenously and/or in the region of the spinal column.
The procedure is absolutely safe with a HLA match of more than 50%. Rejection of siblings stem cells to the child’s immunity does not occur, as well as allergic reactions do not occur, damage to the spinal cord is excluded. There may be minor complications associated with surgical procedures, which take place within 1-2 days.
