I want to thank all the medical staff of the Mardaleishvili clinic, in which on 6 June 2019 we received stem cell transplantation. My daughter is 6 years old and at the age of 3 we were diagnosed with autism.
Hello. We are Abubakar’s parents, our son is 5.7 years old. We are from Grozny. Since the age of two, we have been engaged in the rehabilitation of our son and during this time we have achieved certain successes, which we still do not consider final for our child. On March 10, 2021, we underwent the transplantation of our own stem cells at the Mardaleishvili clinic in Tbilisi. Despite the fact that we have been preparing for it for a very long time, we were very worried. As it turned out – completely in vain. We were met and guided through the treatment by an amazingly well-coordinated team of professionals. Without further ado, they are professionals. Many thanks to Nata, who advised us in 2019, dear Lia, who solved absolutely all issues during our stay in Tbilisi, a wonderful team of anesthesiologists, neurologists, surgeons and, of course, Dr. Gocha, a man of rare knowledge and talent. Everyone was worried about our child, as if it were their own. During the operation and after, when my son recovered from anesthesia, I was next to him. This is of great importance for our children. The operation itself went without complications. There were no consequences after anesthesia. By evening, Abubakar, having slept during the day, was cheerful and active. There was no trace left at the site of the bone marrow sampling. There was no rehabilitation period at all. Despite the fact that the operation took place only 10 days ago, we can safely say two things – the son began to build buildings from Lego, with windows and a wide base, which he did not do before, the problem with washing his nose with sea water disappeared – now he voluntarily and with a smile allows it to be done.
We are very happy that, despite our fear, we decided on this procedure. We hope everything goes well for our son. We’ll write about our results in six months.
